JAY VER HOEF
Jay Ver Hoef. Biometrician with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game where he acts as a statistical consultant
on a wide variety of statistical methods for wildlife research and management.
He is an adjunct professor of statistics at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, USA. He is also a consultant to ESRI,
makers of ArcView and ArcMap, where he helped develop Geostatistical Analyst.
He has served as the program chair for the Statistics and Environment section of the American Statistical
Association and is an associate editor for the journal Ecology and Ecological Monographs.
