JOSÉ MIGUEL BERNARDO HERRANZ
José Miguel Bernardo Herranz. Ph. D (Mathematics) at
University of Valencia (1974) and Ph. D (Statistics) at University College London
(1976). Proffessor of Statistics at hte University of Valencia, Spain. Yale
University Postdoctoral Fellowship, Fellow of the American Statistical Association,
Académico Correspondiente de la Real Academia de Ciencias de Madrid, Fellow of
the Royal Statistical Society, Elected Member of the International Statistical
Institute, Founder Co-President of the International Society for Bayesian Analysis
1992-1994.
EDITH D. DE LEEUW
Edith D. de Leeuw, Ph.D., is associate professor of survey methodology at the
Department of Methodology and Statistics at Utrecht University, the Netherlands, and
director of MethodikA Amsterdam, consultants in methodology and statistics. She was a
Fulbright scholar with professor Dillman at the Social and Economic Sciences Research
Center of Washington State University and visiting scholar of the Program on Social Statistics
at UCLA. She is a fellow of the Joint Universities Institute for Psychometrics and
Sociometrics (IOPS).
Dr de Leeuw is associate editor of the Journal of Official Statistics and was executive
secretary and president of the international research committee on logic and methodology of
the International Sociological Association (ISA), and of the Section on Social Science of the
Netherlands Society for Statistics and Operations Research. She has organized both national
and international conferences on survey methodology and statistics. She teaches at the
International University College Utrecht and at the ISR summer school and has been a teacher
at TES-courses for Official Statistics.
